Cyd Smillie worked with Henderson Elementary students and faculty on the theme of peace for two corresponding murals on the walls of the Damen underpass—Messages on the east side, and King of Peace on the west side. King of Peace was designed by Henderson Elementary art teacher Darrell Pulliam, while Cyd Smillie designed Messages with the Henderson students.
