An abstract color theory mural with pixellated gradients of color mapped to a Roman block wall. The work is a contemporary example of abstract Impressionism and is inspired by the early video game and graphics development of Chicago's history (Midway Games et al). The work features smooth, pixellated color gradients which depict the flow of water and the reversal of the flow of the Chicago River, as well as a large, abstract "Irish Eye" to commemorate the Irish immigrants who died reversing the flow of the Chicago River in this historically Irish Bridgeport riverfront location. The mural also features ancient geometries found in Chicago's historic brick facades and in Mitla, Oaxaca, Mexico---the artist's nod to the Mexican heritage of the Pilsen neighborhood it faces.
