"In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Kapiolani Park a time capsule was deposited on this day, June 11, 1977, to be opened on June 11, 2077. Frank F. Fasi, Mayor, City & County of Honolulu. Young Suk Ko, Director of Parks and Recreation." The time capsule is located in the ruins of an old lily pond. Located in Kapiolani Park near the Kapiolani Park Bandstand.
